Requirements Maturity Assessment

The Requirements Maturity Assessment service is a rigorous, standardised assessment against our Requirements Maturity Model (RMM) and provides a detailed and systematic check of your organisation's requirements processes and artefacts.

The service involves working with a number of your own best practice representatives and jointly assessing current practice against a set of process guidelines and quality criteria. Each area is scored against a particular maturity level. These results are combined into a detailed report of what works well and which areas need attention, based on your particular process improvement goals, together with a roadmap of the potential process improvements needed to achieve an agreed level of maturity, and a cost/benefit analysis.

RMM (Requirements Maturity Model)

Our RMM has been developed over a number of years and combines industry best-practice and formal standards with a lifecycle integration dimension. It is organised into a number of process areas (for example, Requirements Capture, Requirements Documentation, Requirements Management and Lifecycle Integration) with each area having a number of potential maturity levels. Collectively the maturity levels can combine to give an overall process maturity score which can be used to develop a broad roadmap for programme improvement. Alternatively, the model can be used in a more targeted way to address specific improvements independently.
